NBN full fibre upgrade
Your FTTN or FTTC address may qualify for an FTTP upgrade.
Eligible addresses can move from copper-based NBN to Fibre to the Premises when ordering a qualifying plan. Availability is never automatic—we need to check the address and complete service qualification first.
Current qualifying-plan threshold. NBN has announced this speed requirement will be removed from 31 March 2027.
NBN removed the high-speed plan requirement for eligible FTTC upgrades from 1 July 2026.
Important conditions
What to know before requesting an upgrade.
Address and plan eligibility
Only eligible FTTN and FTTC addresses identified by nbn can receive the upgrade. The service must pass address and technical qualification, and any current qualifying-plan requirement must be met.
Installation and possible extra costs
A standard eligible upgrade may be provided at $0. If extra property infrastructure is required—such as trenching, conduit or remediation—additional customer charges may apply. You can decline those charges before work begins.
Appointments, renters and equipment
Someone aged 18 or over must attend required appointments. Renters need permission from their landlord or managing agent. The technician will confirm suitable locations for the external utility box and internal NBN connection box.
Activation and final confirmation
The new qualifying plan takes effect when the FTTP service is activated. Upgrade settings and wholesale requirements can change, so Linkify will confirm the current terms before accepting the order.
All prices are monthly and include GST. Plan availability, maximum speeds and upgrade eligibility depend on the address, NBN technology, line capability and service qualification. Typical busy-period speeds, setup charges, hardware options and complete service terms will be confirmed before ordering. Sky Muster services are not offered.
